It is known that Health Literacy, especially knowledge about human anatomy, is essential for the process of self-care and health promotion. To date, however, no instruments have been identified to measure literacy in human anatomy in scientific literature, hindering the implementation of educational interventions that address this topic with the aim of promoting health. This study aimed to develop and validate the content of the instrument entitled “Literacy Questionnaire in Human Anatomy – Brazil”, presenting as a method, a qualitative descriptive study of the content validation type, through the analysis of the content validity index, using the Likert scale. The study included the participation of 18 judges. 10 items were analyzed, from the structure of the questionnaire, the chosen source, the positioning of the table, the relevance of the selected bodies, the interpretability, to the ability to measure the LAH. The results showed that the instrument presented a satisfactory general content validity index (S-ICV) (0.94), in addition to adequate psychometric properties and interpretability. After evaluation by the judges, terms were replaced and an illustrative example was included in the instrument. In conclusion, a satisfactory result can be observed in relation to the content, structure, psychometric properties and interpretability of the proposed instrument, however, additional analyzes related to reproducibility, construct validity and criterion validity must be carried out.
