Estudo Cartográfico da cidade vivida pela população em situação de rua de Londrina/PR

Abstract

The production and reproduction of the formal city via different agents ends up excluding groups without consumer power, leaving them on the margins in the informal city, thus denying the right to the city. Taking Londrina as a spatial focus, attention is drawn to excluded groups, in particular, the homeless population. The aim is to investigate how the homeless population in Londrina understands the city based on their daily experiences, seeking to reveal a city that is invisible to a portion of London's city dwellers. This research can be characterized as a qualitative approach, of the action research type, using the fieldwork procedure, applying direct and simple observation techniques, semi-structured interviews, notes in a field diary and informal conversations. It was found that homeless people feel the city based on their experiences, revealing a city that is invisible to other people living there. It is concluded that listening to people living on the streets, bringing closer the understanding that these excluded social subjects -in every possible way- have of the city, even if invisible to the domiciled subjects, allowed the researchers to experiment with an attempt at reconciliation between the city invented by the homeless population and a possible city for Londrina.
