Abstract: To create a sense of continuity, criticizing or reinventing contemporary texts, they haveas characteristics dialogue with long-lived texts and a reconstruction of meaning via reader. It was from this finding that we sought to understand the dialogue between Landscape with Woman and Sea in the Background of the Portuguese writer Teolinda Gersão and Os Lusíadas - epic of the Portuguese people during the great navigations. In Camões, skeptical, the old man's voice is a warning that softens against the dangers of greed and unbridled ambition. Already in Paisagem com Mulher e Mar ao Fundo (1982) inviting the reader to fill the gaps, Teolinda Gersão, through the character Hortense, echoes the voice of Velho do Restelo, a voice that reveals the empty space of the house, the loneliness of women and children in front of the sea that took everything.
