CONTAMINAÇÃO POR STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS EM CELULARES DE PROFISSIONAIS DA SAÚDE EM UNIDADE DE TERAPIA INTENSIVA

Resumo

Objetivo: isolar e traçar o perfil de resistência de cepas de Staphylococcus isoladas de smartphones de profissionais de saúde da Unidade de Terapia Intensiva em Hospital Universitário. Métodos: estudo experimental, laboratorial e quantitativo. Coletaram-se 27 amostras com swab nas superfícies dos smartphones com tecnologia touchscreen. Colônias típicas de S. aureus em ágar manitol salgado foram submetidas à coloração de Gram, provas da catalase, DNAse e coagulase; após comprovação fenotípica de S. aureus, realizaram-se testes de sensibilidade a antimicrobianos por técnica de difusão em discos. Utilizou-se análise estatística descritiva. Resultados: identificou-se o crescimento em 21 amostras semeadas em ágar manitol salgado. Destas, 100% pertenciam ao gênero Staphylococcus, 28% apresentavam correspondência ao S. aureus a partir de análise fenotípica e 71,5% (15) a estafilococos coagulase-negativa. As principais resistências microbianas detectadas foram à azitromicinna e à eritromicina. Conclusão: smartphones encontram-se colonizados por Staphylococcus sp resistentes, sendo necessárias medidas de controle para esse micro-organismo.
